The Shorashim Center helps you prove your Jewish identity to Israel’s rabbinical courts. We stand at your side throughout the entire process, from obtaining required documentation all the way through to presenting your case to the rabbinical court.
All of Shorashim’s services are free of charge. We offer them in order to help unify Israel and the Jewish people.
Proving your Jewish identity
In Israel, confirming the Jewish identity of anyone whose family immigrated according to the standards of the Rabbinic Court can be a complicated process full of anguish and frustration. Nonetheless, to marry as a Jew in Israel and to participate in normative Israeli society, such an effort is absolutely necessary.
Tzohar’s Shorashim was founded to help you move past this milestone. In this section, we explain the process and offer guidance on how to go through it as smoothly and easily as possible.
